It is 9:23am on Tuesday morning and I am just now getting around to writing this newsletter. Usually this thing is done and scheduled by midnight on Monday but I completely forgot to finish writing this thing.
So long story short this one is kinda short on insights but the music is still there!

NEWS
This is the part of the newsletter that I usually jot down through out the week because I can only bank the last 24-48 hours of the past. Everything else is reserved for the future.
Aside from the S.O.S. Band’s discography being back on streaming (!!!) I got nothing. I have not seen Sinners yet (but will soon) and over the weekend I went to Cirque Du Soleil Luzia. I know it’s gonna sound like I’m lying but aside from the name I genuinely did not know what to expect. I went in completely blind and it was fantastic. Except for the contortionist which… yeah nah not at all my jam. Remember when the girl crawls out of the tv in that movie The Ring? That’s all that I could think about.
VIDEOS
Madison McFerrin’s Tiny Desk just dropped and I haven’t gotten a chance to watch it yet but I am super hype that it’s out.
I can’t pin down what Redveil's sound is which is probably a good thing but I really enjoy this version of him. He also shouts out NCA&T which is my alma mater.
Teezo has figured out how to make everything performance art which is an added bonus on top of how good of a songwriter he is.
Dunno who Girlfriend is but there’s a Tierra Whack sighting in the video and that’s what made me listen.
Anna Wise dropped a video and the song is really jazzy and fun.
This is interesting. If you have 6 minutes and a mid to high tolerance for experimental stuff press play.
ALBUMS
Fly Anakin gets high marks every time he drops so this album is probably a safe bet for something you’d enjoy. I’ve only heard a song or two off of it and they were all good.
I think the story goes that these songs were old demos that Steve couldn’t finish at the time and now that technology has caught up to his ideas he did. I also think I wrote about this already? Did i? lol
Westside Gunn dropped a lil EP and it’s exactly what you’d expect it to be.
I have not got to listen tot his album but I am pretty excited to check it out. I always enjoy PQ’s music and see a few promising features as well.
Another one of those albums that I haven’t listened to but think I’ll like because of the person who made it.
Wu-Tang dropped a new album. I gave it a pretty heavy skim and should probably give it a full listen soon.
SINGLES
Oddisee got an EP dropping and this is the first single.
Omari Hardwick got another album and this song is basically catnip for me.
This is a cool song.
Kaelin Ellis gon’ always get posted. The back half of this song is great.
There is a lot of good rapping on this song.
Does Blue ever stop recording? Man is a machine.
Bas is doing a collaborative project with a group called The Hics.
Durand Jones and The Indications got some jams
BONUS
I think I have music ready to drop for Friday and it will more than likely be on my Bandcamp page. It’s the beats from my set at Wonderville this last weekend. This should have been in the news section but I needed something to put down here. LOL.
Okay let me go finish my taxes hahhahahelp.
