I don’t know how to start this week’s newsletter off so let’s just get into it shall we?
SHOWS
This week I’m headed down to Miami for Art Basel. I’ll be recording two new episodes of The Almanac of Rap and my guests are Danny Hastings and Derrick Milano. It all goes down on December 5th and if you’re around you should RSVP to be a part of the audience.
NEWS
T-Pain was on the Jennie-O Turkey’s Thanksgiving Day Parade float. The Roots and Jimmy Fallon were also on a float. Apparently Jimmy just dropped a Christmas album which I won’t post here but should you want to hear it google is a new tab away. He has a pretty bad song about coquito on there.
Kai Cenat did streaming marathon called Mafiathon 2 and Lizzo, SZA, Sexxy Red, Kevin Hart, Druski and more all popped in. I think he was live for 30 days which is pretty intense. If you don’t know who Kai Cenat is congratulations on having a life offline.
VIDEOS
Redman dropped the first single from Muddy Waters 2 and it is a flip of ATCQ’s Luck of Lucien. I just want him to let those Theory Hazit joints he did fly cus i know they are FILTHY.
Xzibit got a new album coming and deep in my soul I am hoping that he has a song with Tha Liks and King Tee on there but I know he won’t
Ice Cube pulled in Killer Mike and Busta Rhymes for a remix to his song Ego.
Snoop and Dre dropped this song that features Sting.
Who can tell me what subway stop this video was filmed at? The song is dope but the backdrop is bugging me cus it looks familiar and I can’t figure it out.
ALBUMS
John Legend’s Get Lifted has a 20th Anniversary edition drop and it’s got a bunch of really dope bonus joints. That Do What I Gotta Do song is an absolute banger for me.
Skyzoo dropped his album and it’s full of the elite level rapping that you’d expect it to have.
I have never heard Friday Night Lights and now that it’s been released to streaming there is a 40% chance that I’ll give it a spin.
This is pretty dope.
I have no idea who The Incomplete Orchestra is but this project got some pretty cool beats on it.
Somebody emailed me asking me to check out their music and I did and it was pretty dope so it goes into the newsletter. They described the project as “swings between traditional hip hop beats, and long dreamy ambient sections” and it’s a pretty cool listen.
(I really need to set up an email address for music submissions cus my

This guy WONK has a full album but this Kiefer song was one of my favorites from it.
MIKE put out a pretty cool son.
New DaM-FunK dropped.
The LOX put out a new song too.
ADDENDUM
Last week i put up a new mix on East Village Radio. It aired the day before Thanksgiving so I did a food themed mix and it’s pretty fun if I must say so my self. Unfortunately I don’t have a tracklist to post with it but I feel like you should trust my taste in music at this point. You can listen here.
